FOR THOSE THAT ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH YOU, HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE MGNA CRRRTA IN THREE WORDS?
MC. Hollywood Moviestar Kardashian.
PLEASE TELL US A BIT ABOUT MGNA CRRRTA AND YOUR BACKGROUND.
MC. We live in New York City. We’re both 19. Farheen is from Seattle & Ginger is from Jersey.
We started producing music as MGNA Crrrta in November 2021, but both were always pursuing our own artistic projects as kids.
WHAT THINGS CAN YOU NOT LIVE WITHOUT?
MC. iPhone, Rob & Chyna, Water.
WHO ARE YOUR MUSICAL INFLUENCES?
MC. Nicki Minaj, Crystal Castles, Kesha, Ester Dean, Rihanna, Britney Spears, SOPHIE, Charlie XCX, Cobra Starship, Bladee, Lady Gaga, RedOne, David Guetta, Grimes, and ICONAPOP.
IF YOU COULD WORK WITH ANY ARTIST, WHO WOULD IT BE?
MC. We want Britney
WHAT DOES YOUR CREATIVE PROCESS LOOK LIKE? DO YOU HAVE ANY SPECIFIC RITUALS?
MC. For starting production on songs, we usually travel to South Jersey to make some synths and melodies.
Once we have what we need, we return to the city and work on the rest of the production and lyrics sporadically for days (sometimes weeks) until it feels complete.
DO YOU HAVE ANY UPCOMING OR CURRENT WORKS THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO DISCUSS?
MC. In November last year, we released our first Mixtape “New Jersey”.
This year, we’ll be releasing new music with the intention of expanding the depth of our discography and ultimately contributing to an extremely curated project.
We’re excited to bring our listeners with us as we create new music and grow in our personal and professional lives.
WHAT'S NEXT FOR MGNA CRRRTA? WHAT ARE YOUR CURRENT/DREAM GOALS FOR THE UPCOMING YEAR?
MC. We have a lot in store coming very soon and are excited to share it with you all.
We’re ready to keep pushing our artistry to next levels and experiment with new styles and visions.
